The América Libre Institute is a think tank dedicated to the creation of new ideas and the implementation of public policies for those democratic countries and institutions working to advance their citizens through liberty.
The América Libre Institute was founded in July 2004 in Washington DC by the Honorable Francisco Flores, President of El Salvador from 1999-2004, as a non-profit organization funded through donations, research projects, events and consultancy endeavors. President Flores will rely on a Board of Advisors composed of world leaders renowned for their democratic service in the defense of freedom. The Board counts among its members the Honorable Jorge Quiroga, former President of Bolivia, and an invitation has been extended to José María Aznar, former President of the Spanish Government.
The América Libre Institute is part of a network of institutions promoting and monitoring stability and growth within a system of liberty. Among them, the Institute has established a partnership with the Atlas Institute, receiving advise on organization, intellectuals recruitment and securing resources to guarantee the successful functioning of our Institute.
The América Libre Institute is presided over by the Honorable Francisco Flores, and Dr. Juan José Daboub serves as its Executive Director. Staffing in Washington DC will be satisfied based on needs. The Institute has a Salvadorian chapter, with its own Board of Directors: Hon. Francisco Flores, Dr. Juan José Daboub, José Ángel Quirós, Miguel Ángel Simán, Rafael Barraza and the Executive Director Arnoldo Jiménez.
